How to apply for a place at St Mary's

We fully understand that getting the right school for your child is one of the most important and stressful decisions you need to make, therefore we try to make the process as easy and stress free as possible. The process is managed by Miss Patterson in the school office manager. Once you make contact with us she will organise everything, including getting visits timetabled and allocating a key worker for your child in the class they are going to join.

1. Application Process

To enrol in St Mary’s all you need to do is either contact the school office or visit. The office staff  will go through the whole process with you, including what information you need to complete the registration documents.

Seedlings @ St Mary's Admission

• You can apply for a place in Seedlings as soon as your child is 2 years old. We do not have set dates for admission, so your child can start as soon as they become 2 years old. 
• To apply for a place in Seedlings please just contact the school office.

Nursery Admission

• You can apply for a place in Nursery as soon as your child is 3 years old. We do not have set dates for admission, so your child can start at anytime during the year.

Reception to Year 4 Admission

• You can apply for a place in Reception to Year 4 at anytime during the year, simply contact us to begin the process.

2. School Visit
After we receive your application, we arrange a school visit so your child and the school are fully prepared and ready to make the transition into our community as enjoyable as possible.

3. Starting St Mary's
During the transition period your child will be designated a key worker in the class to manage friendships and routines, but also give them a port of call for any questions they may have during this stressful time. Never be afraid to ask a question, we have an open door policy and are always happy to help.
